Re: Eclipse HDR

To use PWP for this purpose, you first have to take calibration photos of a test target and process them the same way you will process your photos. 24 stops is probably overkill and is beyond what the calibration can handle. The procedure is described in the white paper: http://www.dl-c.com/Temp/dow...

Re: How to crop

Here is another option using the Layout transformation. Screen Shot.jpg I set the layout size to 15x10cm and created two panels: The first panel holds the image and fills the entire layout and is set to scale and crop the image to fit the panel. The second panel is totally transparent but has a 0.05...

Re: Image List in Composite

The list does scroll if you drag the cursor past the top or bottom of the list. As it happens I did add scroll bars to the image selection control after the last version, but unfortunately the change was never released.

Re: Some preliminary information on PWP 8.0

Other than running by emulation, it is impractical for a single developer to create versions for both platforms. Roughly 75% of the code is specific to the platform while only about 25% is portable. Since it is taking me a year to rewrite the Windows version it would take at least that long to produ...

Re: Chromatic Aberration question

This is a normal side-effect of the transformation. Chromatic aberration results from the refractive index of glass varying slightly with wavelength of light. This causes the focal length of the lens to depend on the color of the light which means there is a slight difference in magnification betwee...

Re: Some preliminary information on PWP 8.0

For the most part the mask dialog is similar to PWP 7.

I have added your requests to the list. Focus now is on putting the program back together so it is usable and then increment refinement later.

Re: Some preliminary information on PWP 8.0

As it happens, I am working on the freehand painting and cloning tools right now. Cloning between images will be supported, including one-to-one cloning which is ideal for your NR example. This will either be done via a split screen for the main image area - which I have already experimented with a ...

Re: Some preliminary information on PWP 8.0

I was able to add an HSV/HSL option to selective color correction for PWP 8. It applies only to the brightness change.

Re: Some preliminary information on PWP 8.0

Currently, in PWP 8 the grid is not part of the crop transformation but is a separate feature that applies to any image window, as it is potentially useful for purposes other than cropping. This means the grid would not be saved as one of the transformation settings. Will think about how to associat...
