Re: Missing 3 Zone transition masks ?

After having read the PWP 8.0 Design Goals, the next PWP generation seems very likely if not certain, and this is very, very good news. This brings me to the question whether the 3 Zone transition masks will be back in some very last PWP 7.0.21 before PWP Pro 8.0 release. Might they have just been c...

Re: A question about the Composite

Only this morning did I realize that I misunderstood the value of 0% of white mask in the upper middle image of the attachment and got somehow entangled into combining settings until total confusion. I used the rectangle only for the post for simplification. The overlay image was originaly another t...

A question about the Composite

Since the message board goes on running, can anybody explain what happens in the attached images? 1.When the image of the texture is used as the Overlay, the mask works as expected. 2.When the texture is used as the Imput image, the output image is a kind of blend of the two even though the white pa...

Re: All Good Things Come to an End

The inevitable is here. With its transformation functions, combinations and nearly unlimited and still meaninfull settings the PWP is going to remain the most inspirative and challenging software I have ever worked with. Fortunately even at this moment there is still a lot of to discover around this...

Missing 3 Zone transition masks ?

The blue and yellow transition masks do not appear on the Blend tab of the 3 Zone Adjustment. Moving the two sliders that control both transitions do not seem to have any effect either. I have used several images. Am I doing something wrong or are they really missing? PWP 64 v7.0.18. Win 7, 64. David

a question about Advanced Sharpen

Just out of curiosity. Is the Advanced Sharpen Noise reduction blurring step a neccessary part of the final step Sharpen or does Sharpen do its own blurring independently of Noise reduction? To explain my question better. Advanced Sharpen Noise reduction is meant for blurring noise to prevent its ex...

Advanced Sharpen for blurring edges

Quite often I arive to a situation where I need to blur ragged edges and protect, perhaps possibly sharpen a bit, the rest of the image. Most often I use the Texture mask followed by my favourite Advanced sharpen which is mostly satisfatory. Using the Advanced Sharpen to blur edges brings mi to an i...

Re: Precise Gaussian default slider position

Dieter,
you are right. I somehow forgot that the scales are expandables. It may due the fact that my monitor is always full of various alternative versions of what I am trying to achieve :).
Thanks for reminding me.
