Paint Tool

I am doing up some images, starting with a blank white image (7000 x 5000), where I use the paint tool (3 px, solid black) to draw multiple horizontal (and in some cases, vertical) lines from one side to the opposite. To make things smoother, I zoom out a bit to reduce the size of the image in relat...

Re: Paint Tool, Reload Last Settings

OK, I'll try and do the same process again and see what happens. On a related note, I tried a few transformations to see the use of "reload last settings" in other areas. When trying to redo the clone tool (after first successfully using it on initial images), if I don't first identify the source im...

Re: Pain Tool, Reload Last Settings

Ahh, I presumed that only the dialogue settings were reloaded. I often use the same line width and softness on a number of images, so did not want to have to do it manually each time. So that explains part of the issue. Can you advise how the extra white areas in crop-2 and 3 were introduced during ...

Paint Tool, Reload Last Settings

I'm attaching three images (hopefully) which are crops of the full images. Latest version PWP8. Opened image (crop-1) and used paint tool (black, 2.9 in size) to draw horizontal lines (which are the new black lines shown in crop-2). Had to take care of something which caused me to momentarily cancel...

Re: Masking after the fact

This thread has prompted me to investigate the three zone adjustment, which I have never used. And I quite like it so looks like I will be using it a lot in the future. And, another method that I have used often in version 8 as well as prior versions, is to make global changes to the base image, whi...

Paint, Clone etc tool

Made mention of part of this topic in a previous post: 1. As noted, I mentioned the "bow wave" effect I was seeing when using the Paint, Clone tool etc. As if the tool was "pushing" pixels out in front and to the sides of the cursor circle as it moved. Once the tool was released, the path that had b...

Re: Clone Tool

Jonathan, In my example, I had the following parameters set (default, I believe): Mode: Copy Brush: Continuous Cursors: Linked Tiled: No Overlapped: No. Single image, I was cloning out a fairly large object in a clear background. I set the source point in the background, farther to the right of the ...

Clone Tool

If an object is being cloned out, using the source from an area close to the object, and the "source cursor" or whatever it is called, is moved over the area where the object used to be (now gone from cloning), that object begins to materialize at the "destination cursor". It is like the object stil...
