ProPhoto Color Profile

I recently had to reinstall Win10 & PW7. I am having trouble with color management. I have used ProPhoto as working space but it wasn't there to choose so I downloaded it from International Color consortium (as ROMM) and installed it. Now it shows up in the choices for Assumed File Profile but n...

I just installed it on a new win7 64bit laptop. Used the vista version. Worked fine with no issues.

Re: RAW Dialog: Hilite Recovery problem

I too don't use it because hilites turn magenta for my CR2 files.I have tried every setting I can find to no avail. Doesn't seem to like Canon files. Problem does not exist with other RAW converters I have used. I would love to see this fixed.

Re: Light Falloff Mystery

Success! I switched to 1ev underexposed jpgs and was able to compute curves with no problem. Could not get images with even enough lighting using PW's raw converter. Perhaps my settings influenced the result. Getting an evenly lit image from a full frame fisheye was a little tough even on my 40d. Th...

Light Falloff Mystery

I've tried building light falloff curves for my lenses by taking pictures in sun of a white foamboard, converting the raws in pw and then pushing the compute button in the LIght Falloff transform. Each time I have gotten a 'Failed to Find a good Fit' message. Went thru this about a dozen times. Any ...

Re: Raw and Magenta Highlights

Thanks to all. I have tried several images today ranging from a few blown highlights to larger blown areas, from one color blown to all colors blown, from blown objects such as an egret and flowers to spectral highlights from a reflective pool cover. I identified blown areas using the highlite alert...

Raw and Magenta Highlights

Raw conversion leaves magenta highlights. It doesn't matter if the original color is white, blue etc. Size of the blown area can range from very small to quite large with the same result. Highlite recovery makes it worse. I've tried every parameter I can find but nothing seems to help. Camera is a c...

Re: Raw Setting Can't See Camera Profile

Kiril, Jim
Thanks for the tips. Turns out the profile is named '6091Standard Adobe RGB' which does show in the Raw dialog.

Raw Setting Can't See Camera Profile

I have been unable to see the profile for my canon 40d in the raw settings camera profile dropdown list. The profile apparently came with DPP. The profile is in windows...color directory along with another profile for the 5d. This one does show up in the dropdown list. The 5d profile was .icm. The 4...
